Hermès commissioned Studio Mieke Meijer to design a 300 m2 scenography for the Objects Presentation Spring Summer 2022, a 3-day international press event held twice a year in Paris.

The Objects Presentation reveals the new Hermès collections in all product categories except for ready-to-wear. Presented are products such as leather goods, fashion accessories, silk and textiles, watches, jewelry, tableware, home accessories and furniture.

The concept of the scenography was based on Hermès' Year Theme for 2022: ‘Lightness’.

The scenography concept aimed to show lightness in its physical form but also in its spirit. Therefore Studio Mieke Meijer explored the potential of inflatables: air-filled structures resulting in large objects with only a minimal use of material. The ephemeral character of inflatables contrasts strongly with the durable, long-lasting character of the Hermès collections.

By combining inflatables with different kinds of support structures four universes were created, each with its own distinctive form language and color scheme.
The Hermès collections were carefully organized accordingly.
